Course Description

To register for a course and invoice your employer, send an email request to Economic Development. Mention your intention to register for the course and provide any necessary details. In your email, include your name, contact details, the name of the course you want to register for, and any other employer information. 

Coaching to Improve Employee Performance

Coaching in the workplace leads to improved employee performance because it helps each team member feel recognized and valued. Coaching is a skill that allows leaders to develop more effective and meaningful working relationships with their employees by asking them guiding questions, giving them compliments, listening to and empowering them by encouraging honest communication, understanding their perspectives, and showing commitment to their continued growth and development.

  • Conducting a self-audit on performance management
  • Identifying the importance of and requirements for coaching
  • Learning the skills of effective coaching
  • Confronting problem behaviors in a tactful manner
  • Differentiating between coaching and disciplining
